It’s that wonderful time of the year again…time to grab the fly rod and hit the water for some fun. But, what do you do when there’s no hatch to match?  I decided I was going to find out from two excellent fly anglers in different parts of New England. 

Mike Holt is the owner of Fly Fishing Only in Fairfield, ME.  Mike started fly-fishing many years ago when he was helping out a friend who’d been in an accident and broken his hip.  When his friend was well enough, Mike would take him out fishing, and since his friend was fly-fishing, Mike decided to try it as well.  That was back in 1975 or so, and the rest is “history.”
