Outdoors Magazine's
April Photo Contest Winner
Congratulations to Julie McCabe of Council Bluffs, Iowa for submitting the winning photo for the month of April in
Outdoors Magazine's Memorable Moments Photo Contest.
According to McCabe, the winning picture features her son, Kadin, "doing what he loves to do best....he loves to fish and would do it all day, everyday, if he could."
The picture was taken at Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs, Iowa by Kadin's father. As a monthly winner, the McCabes will receive an assortment of outdoors-related items and be entered into the competition finals where they have a chance to win a hunting or fishing trip at Pine Grove Lodge in Pleasant Ridge, Maine.
Outdoors Magazine is currently accepting photo contest submissions for the month of May. Entries will be judged by an independent panel hosted by
Outdoors Magazine's Hunting Editor R.G. Bernier. Criteria will include photo clarity, composition, and the way the photo captures a "memorable moment" in the outdoors. This includes such things as traditional big game trophy shots, classic fishing pictures, youth in the outdoors, dogs working, wildlife photography, trapping pictures, ATVing, snowmobiling, camp life, boating, and much more. Remember, its not the size of the harvest that matters, but rather the memories created.
Photo submissions will be posted on the Outdoors Magazine website, and many will be used in future issues of
Outdoors Magazine. The publisher of Outdoors Magazine reserves the right to reject any entry deemed to be in poor taste.

Photo submissions from previous months will also automatically be re-entered
into the competition. To enter, send photos via email to amanda@elkpublishing.com.
Please include your name, address, and any pertinent information
about the photo in the body of the email. Entries are also
accepted via regular mail at 531 Main Street, Colchester, VT
05446. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you
would like them returned.
